考研英語作文-Half Bottle Water

文學2.09W

If allowed me to divide people into two parts, I would say the one must be pessimist and the other optimist. Justlooking at such a picture, a bottle which was full before it dropped unfortunately on the floor is only half water left. Two men have seen this result but their actions were quite different: the one on the left doing nothing but putting his hand on his face, feeling pessimistic, said 'All over! '. However, the other optimistic guy running quickly forward the bottle to pick it up, said 'Lucky, it has left some.' Obviously, the comic wants to tell about facingthe same thing that different people have different attitudes.

I prefer giving kudos to that optimistic guy, not because he's said the 'Lucky' words but he’s tried to stop the thing going worse. As people always say, attitude decides everything. Why? I think the reasons are as follows: firstly, things are always multi-aspects, and different attitudes mean different views of world. The pessimists easily see the awful thing and the optimists the hopeful. Then the different views also result different emotions. The pessimists easily feel sad and depressed while the optimists tend to have high morale. Finally, these emotions likely make them have different ways to deal affairs. The pessimists easily give up and do nothing as they think there is nothing helpful can shake the bad all up. On the other hand, thinking the thing is not going too badly, the optimists choose to try their best to do something. This is why nearly all beliefs would like to tell people that the world is full of sunshine rather than darkness. Tears can't change anything. The world needs us to do something to make itself better.

There doesn't exist yes or no within attitudes which are just the views we see from the problems. Although the pessimist in the picture has not tried to pick up the bottle, in reality there still have some people who make great work while sigh 'all over'. They are likely not the few. Maybe with high request or more sensitive than the rest of humanity, in short, they see everything awful. But they remain searching the way to change the world even with a despairing heart which always makes them walk toward the extreme. They are regrettable but admirable. I think being an optimist would be more relaxed and free. Despite sometime maybe cannot see the reality clearly, a happy man won't corner himself.
