詞組：laugh at嘲笑、因…而笑

如：Don’t laugh at him. 別嘲笑他。

注意：與hard work、work hard的區別

①hard work

名詞短語，意為“辛苦的工作”，hard是形容詞，修飾不可數名詞work。

如：What hard work it is!這是多麼辛苦的工作啊!

②work hard

動詞短語，意為“努力工作”，hard是副詞，修飾動詞work。

如：He always works hard.他總是努力工作。

calm

1)adj.鎮靜的，沉着的

2)n. 平靜

3)v. (使某人)鎮靜，安靜。

注意：calm /still /quiet /silent

①calm：意為：“鎮靜的，平靜的”，指不受干擾時的寧靜，平靜，如海洋的.平靜;

用於人時，指沉着，鎮定，安定。

如：When we face danger, we should keep calm.

②still:意為“不動的，靜止的，寂靜的”，僅僅指物理上的安靜狀態。

如：The baby kept still when she was taking photos.

③quiet:意為安靜的 靜止的，指寂靜的狀態，沒有吵鬧或指人的，文靜，也可指活動的信息。

如：Be quiet, teacher is coming.

④silent:意為“沉默的，無言的”，主要用於人，指不發出聲音或不説話，強調無聲的狀態。

如：We shouldn’t keep silent when the teather asks us some questions.
