no sooner had the summer vacation begun than i returned to my native town. of course i must make good use of it; otherwise i would incur the displeasure of my parents.

in the morning i reviewed my lessons and read newspa-pe-rs or magazines. in the afternoon i played ball games with my friends or went fishing in the river. at night (in the night) i watched television with my family (the members of my family). hardly had the clock on the wall struck ten when i went to bed.

暑假剛一開始，我就回故鄉了。自然我須好好利用它，否則我會招致父母的不快。

早晨我複習功課並閲讀報紙或雜誌。下午我和朋友打球，或去河中釣魚。晚上我就和家人看看電視。牆上的鐘剛敲十下，我就去睡覺了。

my summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. i went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. it is very beautiful there. there are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals and kind people. i spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. i wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

besides that, i helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. i helped them read english and improve their spoken english. their parents thanked me for this.

今年的暑假生活非常愉快。我去農村過暑假。那兒非常美麗，有綠色的植物，清澈的小河，可愛的動物和善良的人們。在那裏的兩週中我幫爺爺幹了些農活。每天我在日記中記下所發生的事情。

除了這些，我還幫助鄰居家的孩子做功課。我幫他們讀英語，使他們的口語有所提高。他們的父母為此很感激我。
