英語口語：高温死亡heat death今夏頻發

The prolonged extreme weather has baked many regions in the country sinceJuly, with the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shandong and Shaanxi provincesand Chongqing municipality reporting the highest number of weather-relateddeaths.

自七月份以來我國的許多地區都出現了持續的極端炎熱天氣，內蒙古自治區、山東省、陝西省和重慶市成為高温死亡報告最多的'地區。

在上面的報道中，weather-related deaths指的是由極端天氣導致的死亡，在上文語境中指的是“高温死亡”，也可以用heatdeath來表示。高温死亡的人死於heatstroke(中暑)，如果是受陽光直接暴曬引起的中暑，可以用sunstroke來表示。

今年夏天北京出現連續多日的sauna weather(桑拿天)，在這種高温天氣下，羣眾最關心的問題之一就是high temperaturesubsidy(防暑降温補貼)是否及時發放。同時多起高温死亡事件也暴露出我國heat law(高温保護法規)方面的滯後。
