我經常看一些英文的電影，之所以觀看《忠犬八公的故事》，是因為它的網上評分特別高，觀看之前以為講述的就是一條忠犬救了主人的命，並沒有太注意。但在觀看的過程中，我卻無時無刻不被震撼着，我不是一個喜歡為電影落淚的人，感覺那樣太矯情，但看過這部影片後，我卻鼻子發酸。

這是一部根據發生在日本的一個真實故事改編的。影片講述了一隻叫八公的秋田犬在快遞過程中被遺失並偶遇男主人公帕克教授。每天早上八公都會送教授去車站，然後就自行回家，下午5點再準時的去車站等教授一起回家，可是突然有一天，八公怎麼都不肯跟着教授出門，因為要上班，教授還是出門了，着急的八公叼了一個球追着教授去車站。第一次也是唯一一次，八公肯叼球了，教授因此很高興，但八公不肯回家，還賴着教授要一起玩，教授終於還是上了車。八公跑到站台上，看着火車在自己眼前一點點變小、消失，眼裏流露出難過的哀傷。

教授的日本好友健以前和教授説過一句話：秋田犬會自己選擇主人，認準了就從一而終，它從不叼球，除非有重要的事情要發生。是的，八公感覺到了，教授在當天授課中心臟病發作去世了。但是以後每天下午的5點，八公還是在老地方等着教授，這一等就是九年。九年，對於人來説可能只是一生的一個階段，但對於一隻犬來説，那是一生。
