聖經中最經典的語錄

1、"生命在他裡頭，這生命就是人的光。光照在黑暗裡，黑暗卻不接受光。" (《新約.約翰福音》第1章 4－5節)

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darknehas not overcome it.（John 1 4－5）

這是是基-督教神學思想的核心。這裡的" 光" 指的是耶穌基-督，" 生命" 指的是永生--戰勝死亡，獲得真理。

2、"你們要進窄門，因為引到滅亡，那門是寬的，路是大的，進去的人也多；引到永生，那門是窄的，路是小的，找着的人也少。"(《新約.馬太福音》第7章13-14節)

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. （Matthew 7-13,14）

這是耶穌"登山寶訓"中最短的一段，但卻是整個新教精神的核心。對於清教徒而言，人生就意味着無盡艱險，就意味着走窄門。

3、"愛是恆久忍耐，又有恩慈；愛是不嫉妒，愛是不自誇，不張狂，不作害羞的.事，不求自己的益處，不輕易發怒，不計算人的惡，不喜歡不義，隻喜歡真理；凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐；愛是永不止息。"(《新約.哥林多前書》第13章4－8節)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. （Corinthians 13 4－8）

4、"死啊，你得勝的權勢在哪裡？死啊，你的毒鈎在哪裡？死的毒鈎就是罪，罪的權勢就是律法。感謝上帝，使我們藉着我們的主耶穌基-督得勝。"(《新約.哥林多前書》第15章 55－56節)

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. （1 Corinthians 15 55－56）

使徒保羅用優美的語言闡明瞭基-督教的脈絡：塬罪與墮落，犧牲與救贖，勝利與永生。總體説來就是"用愛戰勝死亡"。
