The dictionary is a living teacher. When I was young, I really love to turn to the dictionary for help. Whenever I come across a new word, I will consult it and know its definition. I guess every student, their first teacher is dictionary.

The dictionary is a good teacher. It is convenient, inexpensive and contained almost everything. Sometimes I am just too shy to ask my teachers about the questions I have on my mind. Then I will turn to my dictionary for help. She is quite and never reject my request. The more I use it, the more familiar I will become with it. Right now, I really good at finding the page I am looking for.

稱呼：Dear John,注意稱呼中，所有實詞首字母全部大寫，Dear John後面的逗號不可丟，也不能寫成冒號。

正文：

第一段：寫作內容需涵蓋兩點：自我介紹，寫信目的。文章開門見山就是自我介紹，用到了這樣的表達：I am Li Ming who will go to study in your university and live together with you in one department. 其中的“I am …who…”這個句型來自於建議信的表達，放在這裏也十分貼切。接下一句話表明了寫信目的.：Now I am writing this letter to tell you some of my habits and ask you for some suggestions to adapt myself there.

第二段： 寫作內容為習慣介紹以及尋求建議。首先，介紹自己的生活習慣，自己一般早上六點起牀外出鍛鍊;週末一般在圖書館看書;其次，希望John就如何適應當地生活給自己一些建議。

第三段：寫作內容表示期待，良好祝願。用到了這樣的表達：I am looking forward to seeing you soon and wish everything goes well.

落款：Yours sincerely, 特別提醒sincerely後面逗號不能丟;

簽名：Li Ming，特別注意Li Ming 後面一定不能出現句點。

小作文的得分點主要在：

信息點的覆蓋；

內容的組織，語言的準確性；
