Can Money Buy Happiness?

金錢能買到幸福嗎？

Nowadays, a lot of people in society think the more money they have the more happiness they will obtain. As a result, they will try their best to get money, even without considering the law.

現在，社會上有許多人認為，他們擁有的錢越多，他們能夠得到的幸福就越多。因此他們想方設法去賺錢，甚至不顧及法律。

But in my view, the greatest happiness lies in one's satisfaction with one's surroundings. So long as we can look at things with a happy heart, we can be happy. It has nothing to do with a mount of money we have. Therefore, people shouldn't pay too much attention to their money. On the contrary, what they should do is to put their money to good use and try to have an optimistic outlook all the time.

但是，在我看來，最大的幸福在於人們對其周圍環境的滿意程度。只要我們擁有一個愉悦的心情，我們就會幸福。我們是否幸福和我們有多少錢並沒有關係。因此，人們不應該太看重錢，相反，他們應該做的.是把他們的錢用在正確的途徑上並保持一個樂觀的態度。

NOTES

1. lie in 在於

例：The solution lies in the improvement of the economic environment.（解決辦法在於改善經濟環境。）

在英國英語中，lie in 還能解釋為“睡懶覺”。

例: I like to lie in at weekends. 我愛在週末睡懶覺。

此外，lie in 還能表示“位於；存放於；（死者）葬於”。

例: The castle lies in a valley. 城堡位於峽谷裏。

His grandfather lies in the churchyard. 他祖父葬於教堂的墓地。

2. so long as 只要 = as long as

例：You may take this book away so long as you return it on time.（只要你準時把書還回來，你可以拿走它。）

As long as you tell truth , I'll try to help you.（只要你説實話，我會盡力幫助你。）

3. have nothing to do with... 與……無關

生活中要表達事不關己時就可以説：It has nothing to do with me. （那跟我有什麼關係。）
