能聽懂他人比較純正的英語,不僅是英語考試的需要,也是同學們未來步入社會,施展才能所必需的技能。我們平時的聽力訓練不僅僅是在訓練你的英語聽力,其實它也是一種語感培養,充足的英語聽力訓練同時也會極大的有助於提高學習者的口語能力。鑑於同學們不可能自己抽出多少時間去聽英語歌曲、看英文電影或者直接用英語與人口頭交流,那麼,充分利用好本年級統一的聽力訓練時間就顯得尤其重要。在聽力訓練中,既要學會抓關鍵詞,也要學會聽懂完整的句子;既要學會聽懂不同語音語調對語意的影響,也要學會聽懂有失去爆破和連讀現象的句子。有難度的聽力訓練試題最好是能在過了一段時間後,等到忘記得差不多時,有再聽一次的機會。所以在做聽力訓練試題時,我建議同學們一律用鉛筆做記號,對完答案、看完錄音文字材料後再把鉛筆痕跡察掉。

英語的口頭表達能力雖然不是我們考試的必備能力,但它卻是同學們將來所需要的最重要的,最實用的英語技能。一口流利的英語是每一個英語學習者所夢想達到的理想水平。重視口語能力的訓練不僅對未來有重要意義,對提高同學們高中階段的英語水平也有非常重要的意義。説英語就是運用英語。語言能力和語言知識,同許多其它能力和知識一樣,只有通過運用,並且經常運用才會真正地學到手,學到家。英語是一門語言。語言是聽出來的,是經過不斷模仿後才能説出來的。高中生的英語口語能力要求,除了一般日常交際應答以外,還應該具備能連續表達含五個以上的句子。練就一口流暢的英語口語需要同學們抓住三個機會:一是課堂上老師為同學們提供的開口機會。二是課前演講或者值日報告的機會。三是早讀是個好機會。早讀不應該總是停留在背單詞、背課文這樣的簡單勞動中。單詞不是用來背誦的。朗讀單詞的目的是要把單詞的發音讀準,並且能上口,讀起來不勉強,不繞口。課文也不是用來背誦的。熟讀課文是為了加深理解,鞏固詞彙知識和語法知識。既然口語能力那麼重要,同學們不妨把背誦或者複述課文當成是口語表達或者演講的準備呢?換句話説,把課文材料準備得再熟悉不過以後,來一次演講展示,那且不美哉!真正的高英語水平絕不是看書看出來的,也不是做習題能做出來的,更不是聽老師講課能聽出來的。早讀期間通過不斷模仿,放聲吼叫,反覆實踐,你一定能快速提高自己的口語表達能力。

英語短文閲讀的重要性不僅表現在高中英語考試中它的份量最大,而且還表現在英語短文是英語詞彙知識和語法知識的載體方面。詞彙量的擴大、詞彙知識的豐富和句子表達的多樣性光靠死記硬背是無法也不可能實現的。擴大詞彙量、豐富自己的詞彙知識和地道完美的表達自己只有依靠優良的閲讀習慣。教材課文是精讀材料,需要同學們讀熟讀透,直至能開口娓娓道來為止。課外閲讀又叫泛讀。高中英語新課標教材對高中前八個模塊的學習有一個要求:課外閲讀要完成30萬單詞的閲讀量。也就是説:同學們需要每天有500到700個單詞量的閲讀。課外閲讀也是運用語言的一種必不可少的形式。課外閲讀不能停留在完成幾道閲讀理解試題或者完形填空試題。關鍵在儘量弄懂文章中的每一句話含義、長難句的結構。留意你還不很熟悉的詞彙、詞彙知識和語法知識。還要去認真體會不同的英語句子在表達上的精確性。千萬不要在一些你還不認識的,拼寫怪誕,發音困難的生僻詞彙上浪費時間和精力。

閲讀能力,除詞彙量大小以外,還包含閲讀速度、長難句理解、和把握主題大意的能力。要會快速閲讀,同學們必須學會一些閲讀的技能:如:skimming(跳讀)、scanning(掃讀)和digesting(研讀)。Skimming和scanning就是根據閲讀任務在文中查找相關信息。Digesting主要是用來理解長難句、把握主題大意和作者意圖以及猜測詞義的技術。不僅要研讀長難句結構,也還需要研讀邏輯關係。

流暢的短文表達能力在很大程度上依賴於你的詞彙量、詞彙知識和句法知識。它們的積累在於平時的聽、説和讀的活動。寫作表達能力中,你的英語句式的結構思維能力或者英語習慣思維能力會對錶達能力有重要影響。這就需要同學們平時養成一個良好習慣:那就是總是試圖用英語來表達出你眼睛所看到的,耳朵能聽到的,身體能感受到的和你思想能想到的。除此之外,一篇優秀的.短文還少不了三個要素:即結構,內容和語言。

一片結構完美的英文短文,尤其是説明文和議論文,往往有一個比較完優美的,誘人深入閲讀的開頭語。主題句是可從開頭語中自然而然過度而來。你所程述的觀點,一般都要用事實做論證,或者用具體方式方法來支持。巧妙的結論句往往能使文章錦上添花。

內容需要真實,合乎情理,能讓人信服。文中不要有與主題無關的內容。

語言要儘可能是地道的,去漢語化的英語。要經常套用自己在閲讀中、在課堂上學來句子結構去表達自己。要敢於嘗試用比較複雜的句子結構和比較高級的詞彙來使文章進一步美化。

聽所讀寫四大技能並不是各自孤立的,也是相互作用和相互制約的。如果平時,只注重某一項技能的學習和訓練,那是不可能成為一位真正的英語強手的。

任何一門學科都需要踏實的學習作風。外語也不例外。學外語的實主要表現在以下幾個方面:

一、落實詞彙、詞彙知識和特殊句式的積累。落實詞彙和詞彙知識並不是反覆背記詞彙表中的單詞。落實詞彙、詞彙知識以及特殊句式的最好辦法是先探究後運用。一個詞彙在經過七到八次在不同時間和不同的語境中運用後,它就是你的了。詞彙知識和特殊句式也是一樣。寫作是運用,造句是運用,閲讀,傾聽和與他人用英語交流也是運用。藉助詞典進行造句練習,在造句中運用新學的詞彙不失為一種行之有效的簡單易行的方式。

二、落實課外閲讀。每天堅持花半小時閲讀一兩篇短文。一要真正讀懂。二要留意詞彙運用。

三、落實早自習精讀。每次有硬指標,死任務。

四、落實課內課外書面作業。簡單的完成老師佈置的作業量並不是落實。書面作業質的落實必須是在真正懂了、記住了的基礎上又快又好的獨立的、閉卷式的完成書面作業。對發現的漏洞和缺陷要採取補救措施。

五、落實自主探究的學習能力培養。學習中缺乏自主探究,不善於利用團隊合作和與老師溝通是很多高中生在學習中存在的一種普遍想象。老師不是保姆,老師不可能把英語的詞彙知識和英語的四大能力烹製成一道道佳餚後,一口一口地喂進學生的口中。老師的探究代替不了學生的探究。學習能力的培養主要是探究能力的培養。學會了探究,你才會在知識的大海中暢遊。學會了探究,你才會成為終身學習者。英語學科的探究應該表現在對某一特定詞彙在文中、在句中的用法和含義的探究,對長難句結構和含義的探究,對相關知識關聯的探究,對作者意圖、主題大意的探究,當然也包含對學法的探究。要探究知識,要有工具(詞典以及各種手冊等)的幫助,更要有團隊的合作,還要有老師的幫助。團隊合作可以讓你取他人之長補自己之短,還可以集思廣益,產生思想火花。常與老師溝通是可以使你更容易發現前進的方向,少走彎路。

總而言之,英語學習需要同學們從聽説讀寫四大技能方面養成良好的學習習慣,堅持語言知識積累、精讀、泛讀、課內課外作業和自主探究五個方面的腳踏實地地勤奮努力,就能夠比較輕鬆地完成高中英語的學習,為自己將來的遠大理想奠定堅實的外語基礎。

Now let’s think of our old days as we were students in primary schools. But now, I think, most of us become down-to-earth and the dream is more practical than before. However, have you taken actions to pursue your dream? Are you working hard enough to make your dream come true?

As for myself, I have dreamed to be an excellent police in high school due to there are so many thefts in my hometown while they are seldom caught. Sooner I have realized how ridiculous am I and now I turn to realistic: I just want to be a translator.

How do I pursue my dream?

First of all, I try my best to correct the pronunciation and read the textbook or other English magazines such as: English weekly, English salon and the like. I try to do this day by day. Now I have improved my reading ability a lot and it also enlarged my vocabulary.

Secondly, I often do some translating extension and embrace my teacher’s suggestion. It benefits me much.

Last but not the least, I realize my dream by reading Chinese literature. Maybe you will say it’s what the Chinese major students should do. If you say so, you are badly wrong. For as an English major student, how can you know others well if you even don’t familiar with your country? On the other hand, it also benefits me in translation and writing.

In my 18 years of life, there have been many things. University days are the best part of them. I can never forget the days when I stepped into my university. I was impressed by its garden'like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere. I at once fell in love with it.

After the arduous military training, I get absolutely absorbed in my studies. The classes given by the teachers are excellent. They provide us with information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well. They easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as I can.

Frankly speaking, at first I had some difficulty following the teachers. However, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, I made remarkable progress. Now I've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.

Learning is a long process; I'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself. This summer I got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. A publishing house offered me a part'time job in compilation and revision.

Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? How much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on.
