Success, as is known, is the pursuit of many ambitious people. It requires much of a person.

In my above all, one should be a person of strong perseverance. Rome was not built in a day. On our long way to success, there are undoubtedly many difficulties standing in the way. If we lose heart and give up

halfway, nothing can be achieved. Throughout history, we havehad many famous successful people in the world, of whom no one is weak-minded. Take the great American scientist Edison as an example, he tried experiment after experiment and had one failure after another before he finally invented the bulb, which lighted up the whole world. So we can conclude perseverance can surely be one of the secrets of success. Furthermore, one needs to work hard to realize his dream just as the famous saying goes “Hard work leads to success”.

Look at these around us and we’ll find diligent people are always the favor of our society. They usually achieve more than expected. Why do so many of our classmates of average intelligence go far ahead of others? Hard work is definitely supposed to be the answer. And still, I hold that one must keep in pace with the informative world. There’s no denying that our world is changing every day. So one can never be locked alone inside his own room, doing his research work and dedicated to book knowledge

How can an isolated person be well-informed enough to go ahead of others? If so, that could be ridiculous. Success is what one desires. So long as one is perseverant, hard

working and up-to-date, I am sure success is near at hand.

Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen,

Good evening. It’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech. What I am going to talk about today is the road to success.

There is no doubt that everyone wants to achieve success. Me either. But what is success and how can we succeed? In my opinion, success is just like climbing mountains. If you want to reach the top of the mountain, you have to keep climbing up step by step and overcome all the difficulties during the way. There is no easy way to climb up without paying. Likewise, there is no elevator to success, you have to take stairs.

I’m sure you guys have all tried doing a lot of new things. Whether it’s learning a new instrument , or learning a new language. You know , everyone who tells you that the stuff is easy that you can do it overnight is clearly wrong. Everything that is worth doing is pretty hard. I mean, you guys know that firsthand from your experience. In order to master piano, you have to practice scales everyday to strengthen your fingers no matter how boring it is; to learn a foreign language well, you have to start with the very basics and learn step by step. All these achievements, you know, it’s not about a single moment of inspiration or brilliance, it’s about years and years of hard work and practice. When it comes to success, there are no shortcuts.

To clarify my view, I would like to give an example. Michael Jordan, the basketball superstar, it's easy for you to see his achievements. However, what you don’t see is the price of blood and sweat that he has paid on the court in order to come out on top. If you think that he was born to play basketball and is destined to succeed, I’d like to say that you couldn’t be more wrong. Do you know the story that Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team because of his height? Instead of giving up,he trained harder and made more effort to shoot on court. Finally, he succeeded and became a popular basketball player. To Jordan,it’s not about a single moment of inspiration or brilliance, it’s about years and years of hard work and practice.

At last I would like to share a famous saying with all of you, that is: no pains, no gains. I just want you to know that success doesn’t come easily ,anything that’s really awesome takes a lot of work. But I firmly believe that as long as we make daily effort and unremitting endeavor, everyone in this room will achieve your goals and fulfill your dream.

dear all,

experience makes you succeedi still remembered the first time when i became a technical secondary school teacher of english literature. it seemed that it happened yesterday.

at that day, i got quite ready and i had the confidence to be a good teacher. i arrived at the classroom, eager to share my knowledge and experience with all the students of my class. having prepared for two days, i had no doubt to hold their attention and to impress on them my admiration for the literature.

“stand up!” the monitor spoke loudly. the entire class stood up as i entered the classroom. i was a little puzzled, but quickly that awkwardness was over, i regained my calmness and began my well-prepared lecture, sure to gain their respect--- or even their

admiration. ‘i’m your english, miss jiang. today we are going to learn . . . ’ i was very pleased with work . as the bell rang, i went back to my office full of a sense of achievement. the following day when i read my students’ diaries, the rosy glow was gradually replaced by a strong sense of sadness. the first diary said, “our literature teacher didn’t teach us anything today. perhaps her next lecture would be better.” greatly surprised, i read diary after diary, each expressed a similar theme. “didn’t i teach them

anything? i described the entire framework and laid the background for the passage we would study in class,” i puzzled. “how should they say i taught them nothing?”

it was a long term, and it gradually became clear that my ideas about education weren’t the same as those of my students. i thought a teacher’s job was to raise interesting questions and provide

enough background so that students could draw their own conclusions. my students thought a teacher’s job was to provide exact information as directly and clearly as possible. what a difference! i tell myself i can handle it.’ compared to what others have been through , i’m fortunate. thinking of these sentences i felt something important struck me. i believe my life would not be that bad and it was proved to be true. later during my life and work i always told myself ‘i can handle it.’ when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too overwhelming. and every time i said it, i always came back to my senses.

now the experience with my students has made me learn a lot, and made me be a better english teacher.

the following year, it was september 10th. i went to class as well. when i stepped into the class, i felt surprised. there was a post card on the table, but i didn’t show it on my face. i began teaching lessons. after the class, i walked out of the class with a card in my hand. i opened the card in the office, it was a music card with words on it. it said ‘many thanks to you, miss jiang. we all love you we like your teaching.’ i was impressed by the words. how honest and si-mp-le the words were. hot tears couldn’t help dropping. at that time, i was so proud of being an english teacher.

so here, coming to us are words that can give us strength.

whatever you’re going through, tell yourself you can handle it. tell this to yourself over and over, and it will help you get through the rough spots with little more fortitude.

關於成功的英語演講稿一:

today i am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. what is success? it is what everyone is longing times success would be rather si-mp-le. winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; ma-ki-ng a new friend is success; even now i am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.

however, as a person's whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. is fortune success? is fame success? is high social status success? no, i don’t think so. i believe success is the realization of people's hopes and days, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of them are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.

different people have different ideas about success; cause people's hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.

what is success? everyone has his own interpretation as i do. but i am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. so ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a successful life!

wish you all good success!

success is everyone wants, whether it was or the cause of education. give people the joy of success.

how can we succeed? the great inventor thomas edison said, genius is 99 percent on 1 percent of the hard work and inspiration. success must be hard work. if you sleep, is unlikely to succeed.

edison invented the light bulb durable, he has done many thousands of experiments, but still no way to enable the ability to live in high-temperature filament. next to it was said: "bah! can not find even a. you have made so many experiments, and can not find, do not white and effort, and doing anything else now!" he said: "i must ability to find a live high-temperature materials, he must find out. "work pays off, he finally invented a durable light bulb, so that the well-being of people around the world to be known as the 20th century, one of the greatest inventions.

we need to learn the spirit of his, if he was not unremitting efforts, it is impossible to invent the light bulb durability, we can see the need for the conditions of success, as long as required to meet the conditions for success, success easy.

seize the opportunity is one of the conditions for success. for example it! bill gates, the world's richest university, a keen awareness of the emerging computer industry in this huge business opportunities, he dropped out from harvard university, and with their friends opened a computer company called microsoft, when his friends friends are opposed to what he has done, but bill gates said, time will prove that i am right to do so. now, computers in all walks of life in a wide range of applications, to the people's work and life have brought tremendous changes, microsoft has become the world's largest software one.

there are a lot of success, for example, scientific and cultural qualities of their own. without a good basic knowledge, even though hard work and a heaven-sent opportunity to succeed or not. there are left to help others, it is necessary to embark on the path of success and is exceptionally difficult.

to be successful, needs to be done and opportunities.

“once upon a time, there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a blooming rose. to all the suitors who came to the king's palace to ask for the hand of the princess, the old king assigned three tasks to be accomplished, each next to impossible. one day, into the king's palace came a handsome young prince..." well, you know the rest. the three tasks may be different in different versions, but the main plot is always the same, with the prince claiming the princess's hand triumphantly.

and the ending is always the same, finishing with the line "and they live happily every after."

why aren't we tired of something so fanciful, so unrealistic, and, i would say, so unimaginative? how can a story like that endure generations of repetition`? because, i think, it is a typical success story. it is highly philosophical and symbolic. by implication, we see a 4-step definition of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the process of surmounting difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage.

the story not only caters to everyone's inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result. the reward of success will be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. if a person inherits his father's millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. the term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. but as i understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endea#from 本文來自大學聯考資源網#url# to clarify my view, let me give another analogy.

if we changed the rules of football, greatly enlarged the goal and sent away david seaman or any other goal keeper, so that another david, namely david beckham, could score easily, then scoring would not give him the thrill of accomplishment and the joy that it brings. if we further changed the rules by not allowing arsenal's defenders to defend, so that beckham needed only to lift a finger, actually a toe, to score, then there would be no game at all, because the meaning of winning would have disappeared. in accepting the challenge, in surmounting the difficulties and in enduring the hardship, success acquires its value. the sense of attainment varies in proportion to the degree of difficulties on overcomes.

the concept of success is not constant but relative because the nature of difficulty is also relative. something you do effortlessly might pose a great difficulty for a handicapped person. in acquiring the ability to do the same as you can, he or she achieve success. that's why we greatly admire stephen hawking, because, though confined to a wheel chair, he has contributed greatly to the field of science.

i myself, a rather shy person by nature who easily suffer from stage fright, had to pluck up great courage to take part in a speech contest like this. i could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not entering the university level i chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. now here i am. if i come out first, it will be a great success for me. if i come out last-i hope this will not be the case-but if i come out last, i will not call my attempt a failure, but will also celebrate it as a true success, because part of my goal is my own character training-to do more assertive, to be brave in face of difficulties. for me, it is a meaningful step forward, small as it is, in the long journey toward the final success in my life, because i have truly gained by participating.

let us return to our handsome young prince and the 4-step definition of success. you my have noticed that the usual worldly criteria of wealth, position and fame were not mentioned as part of the story, but rather, it emphasized the process of overcoming difficulties. the ancient wisdom had already defined the meaning of success, and this is my definition, too.

thank you.

四:

it is easy to describe success in terms of money, fame and reputation. but i believe that success is not external. i believe that success comes from within. my definition of success is to be true to yourself, and be true to others. that means, that you must cherish your personal ideal even in the face of adversity. i also believe that success is not discriminatory. success is not restricted to such a class of people, in fact, it may be achieved by any person irrespective of his race, creed, gender and economic background. a good example of success is that of beethoven. he is one of the world's most famous composers, yet he was deaf. he could not hear the majestic pieces of music that he created. yet, in the face of this adversity, he was able to maintain his ideals--that of composing music.

to exemplify what success means to me, i pose a question to all of you. what brings us together here today? i believe that it is the beauty of the spoken word. the effect of pause and the sound of rhetoric are unique to the spoken word. i believe the beauty of the spoken word is even stronger for those who have difficulty in expressing themselves. these people are reclusive and had their emotions hidden within them. i once went to australia and i saw two pictures, once was drawn by a normal child, the other was drawn by a child with social inhibitions. the picture drawn by the normal child was si-mp-le and plain. the other was life-like, full of details and imagination. what this shows is that these are ideas, emotions and feelings that are locked internally in these children.

my ideal is to be the key, spreading the beauty of the spoken words to these children. these children have been neglected, but i feel that i can and should help these children to find themselves and be able to express themselves.

i realize that this is a difficult task, and there are many obstacles on the way. but i believe in my ideals and i will stick to them--even in the face of adversity. we should never have a premature abortion of ideals--let the child, let our ideals, stand the challenge. for a life without ideals is not living.

thank you!

五:

what is success?

what is success? different people hold views on this question. some think that one is successful if he can make a great deal of money. others argue that success means holding an important government post. still others believe that whoever has got high academic title is successful. it is clear that there are quite different opinions on success.

in order to become successful, you should first of all be both perseverant and hardworking. as you know, whatever you do, there are always two possible results: success and failure. when you fail, you should never lose heart. on the contrary, you must build up your confidence and work even harder. you should always keep in mind that perseverance is the mother of success and industry is the key to it. in addition, you should pay great attention to your work method. it is necessary for you to sum up your experience constantly and improve the efficiency of your work. finally, it is important for you to get along well with your co-workers, care for each other and help each other. if you follow these principles, you will certainly achieve remarkable success in the future.

in my opinion, success means achieving brilliant results in one’s work, that is, ma-ki-ng outstanding contributions to the development of the country and bringing happiness to the people. so my conclusion is that even if one has made great progress in what he does, i don’t think there’s any reason for him to be conceited.
