一、只想為百姓做點事

什麼樣的幹部受百姓歡迎，怎樣做才能更好地為羣眾服務。今年2月4日，當邯鄲市叢台區委原棠委、組織部長王彥生去世時，人們從他身上悟到很多。2005年王彥生被確診患腦部動脈瘤，他不僅沒有離開工作崗位，反而以超常的毅力與病魔抗爭到最後一刻，年僅49歲。王彥生是一名優秀的共產黨員，是新時期組工幹部的楷模。作為一名普通的組工幹部，他更多的時候是默默無聞地低調工作，甘做人梯。儘管王彥生已經離去了，但他的事蹟卻被人們廣泛傳頌。

二、為了銘記的紀念

11月6日，各地羣眾以不同方式紀念幾天前離開我們的老人。他就是享譽海內外的科學家、我國航天事業奠基人錢學森。8年前一顆國際編號3763號小行星被命名為“錢學森星”。錢老雖然辭世, 但他的名字仍像這顆行星一樣閃耀在蒼穹。許多科學家談到最多的是錢老那份濃濃愛國情懷。在他心中國為重、家為輕，科學最重、名利最輕。人們懷念錢學森，也懷念他身上愛國精神和科學精神,這是他留給我們的寶貴遺產,也是我們時代的精神財富。

三、倒在救災一線的消防衞士

全國消防日即將到來，我們認識一位消防警官。今年六月，湖南省洞口縣消防大隊政治教導員宋文博在抗洪搶險一線連續奮戰三晝夜，因勞累過度犧牲在工作崗位上，年僅37 歲。19年來，宋文博參加滅火救援各種搶險戰鬥500 多次，搶救遇險羣眾18 人。數字背後是這位消防警官在生死考驗面前作出的無畏選擇。

四、大學畢業當兵去

11月1日，今年冬季徵兵工作正式開始。今年徵兵的突出特點就是擴大了高校應屆畢業生入伍的規模，讓這些應屆畢業生有了跨出校門走進軍營的就業選擇。為了鼓勵高校畢業生應徵入伍，國家新出台了八項優惠政策。

五、為寶貝尋找回家的路

截至今天，公安部公佈的首批60名找不到親生父母的被拐兒童中，已經有兩人找到了他們的父母，但是更多的孩子還在等待中，他們當中，有的已經被解救多年，但至今無法回到親生父母的懷抱。

金融危機給人們帶來什麼?財產縮水、就業困難、挫敗感和失落。對於世界最貧困人羣來説，金融危機意味捱餓和死亡。聯合國人權事務高級專員皮萊指出：經濟危機不僅是發展危機，而且是人權危機。在這一大背景下，中國人權研究會主辦第二屆北京人權論壇與11月2日到3日舉行。值得關注的是，中國是世界各國中唯一在人權行動計劃中明確規定，應對金融危機同時，還要切實保障人權的國家。
