上週星期三下午，我去錢氏英語學英語。曾老師告訴我們，今天不在教室裏上課，而是要到人民商場去上實踐課。大家聽了都很驚奇，也十分高興。

我們在曾老師的帶領下，來到了人民商場。我們先來到了粗糧區，曾老師指着油問到：“What’s this？（這是什麼？）”我們左思右想，也想不出“油”用英語怎樣説，曾老師見我們一副為難的樣子，告訴我們“油”用英語是“soy”，並且一遍一遍地教我們讀，直到讀會為止。接下來，我們又來到了零食區，看到各種各樣的零食，有少數的我能用英語説出來，但很多都不會。曾老師指着牛肉乾問：“what＇＇s this?”我還沒想出來。一個同學搶先説到：“beef jerk”“對，就是‘beef jerk’。”曾老師聽了他的回答後，肯定道。這時，曾老師又指着餅乾問：“what＇＇s this?”這個我知道，就立刻舉起手，搶先説道：“cookice”。曾老師向我翹起了大拇指。隨後，我們又去了肉類區、麪包區……我們複習和認識了很多英語單詞。

Once in the ancient Kingdom of Zheng there was a man who wanted to buy himself a pair of shoes. He took the measurement of his own feet with a piece of string. then he went to the market. He was looking at some shoes at the shoe-makers when he realized he had left the measurement at home. He put down the shoes and rushed home to fetch it. By the time he returned with the measurement the market had been closed. So he failed to get his shoes.

Somebody asked him, Why didnt you just try the shoes on your feet? He answered, I would rather trust the measurement than my feet.
