討論學生住宿問題的英語作文 1

Nowadays, there has appeared a heated discussion among the college students as to whether they should live alone outside the campus or live together with other roommates in the students’ dormitory. Opinions are divided over the matter.

Those who are in favor of Living alone maintain that it is very convenient to live by themselves. They can enjoy absolute freedom in a room of their own. They can have their own timetable without disturbing others. They are also free to equip the room with a personal computer so that they can have easy access to the Internet.

But others argue that living with roommates has attractions of its own. With several students sharing the same room, each person’s experiences can be greatly enriched. They can learn a lot from talking to one another. By learning to tolerate the differences between individuals, they can become more mature.

As far as I’m concerned, I prefer to live with roommates because I love the feeling of belonging. Besides, it is a lot cheaper to live in a dorm than to rent a apartment outside the campus.

When asked about do you like live with roommates, the overwhelming majority of most students answer that they quite willing to live in the fewer people hold that they can not bear the hostel environment and it seems that the number is increasing. There are mainly three reasons responsible for this phenomenon. In the first place,as most students never stay away from parents , so they was not accustomed to live in the dormitory and they will try to move out and to get more private ’s more, the living conditions are generally not so good ,there are no modern equipments, and students have to obey many regulations when living in the dormitory.

At length, the roomates all are come from the different place, living habits are quite different. From my point of view,it would be better for college students to live in the dormitory the one hand,it is good for college students to communicate with each other, which is will help to develop social and professional the other hand, living in the outside is more expensive than in the can use the money saved from renting a house to do something meaningful.

When you come into our room, the first thing you will notice is the window right opposite you, with a lovely view of the campus. in front of the window there are four writing tables. mine is the one nearest to the door. on top of it, you can see a photo of my family and several piles of books. behind the table there is a radiator and under each table there is a stool. on each side of the room there are two bunk beds covered with clean bed spreads. some brightly colored quilts are neatly folded at the foot of the beds. on the wall above the beds are pictures of famous movie stars or singers. to the left of the window hangs a calendar and beside it is a mirror.

on the left are built-in bookshelves with a shelf for each person. our dormitory is not very big, but it is neat, clean and comfortable.

When students go to college, they have to live in the dormitory which often holds four students. As most students never stay away from partners before, so they don’t get used to live in the dormitory and they will try to move out and live in the department alone. In my opinion, dormitory is the better choice to live in.

One the one hand, students can learn to get along with each other. No one can live alone, people need to communicate with others, it is an important lesson for college students to learn. Most students have depended on their parents so much, so they don’t have the consciousness to be tolerant and considerate. Living in the dormitory helps the students to be independent and considerate, which will make them to be successful.

On the other hand, living in the dormitory will save students a lot of money. As more students share a room, so it will be very cheap for a student to pay for the room. The students haven’t earned the money, they need to spend their parents’ money, so they should save the money and relieve their parents’ burden.

In all, living in the dormitory is a good choice for a student.

討論學生住宿問題的英語作文 7

Finally, it was time to be busy for two months. So I got up early and quickly packed my things to school.

The long-awaited accommodation has begun. We had long wanted to get rid of our parents, and we were so excited about the dormitory that we started to be independent when our parents left. We can live the way we want to live without our parents long-winded lessons. But obviously, were all wrong.

Our fantasy dorm life is wonderful because we didnt think about doing things on our own. In the past, we didnt know much about the word independence. It was not easy to find independence in middle school. Because we used to be too dependent on our parents, we have to get rid of this bad habit in middle school. Teachers say junior high is where you learn to be independent. So now, we have to do everything ourselves, and we cant rely on anyone else.

In the first day or two, I was not very comfortable, because the people in the dormitory were very strange, and I couldnt find the topic of chatting at first. But I was glad that I soon joined the group and got along well with them. It was a great comfort to me because my mother said that if I didnt talk to you in the dorm, it would be very lonely and very hard. But of course, in the dormitory not only to have a good relationship with students, but also to adapt to the environment here.

After a week, I have been used to our dormitory, and we have adjusted our time, and will not be able to go to bed when we are busy at the beginning of school. Dormitory of the students are very active, I cant lie on the bed again to hold pillow daze homesick, talk to mom and dad when I also learn to report good news not suffer, because we want to reassure parents cannot let them always worry. They work hard, and if I always complain to them, then I am not filial.

All in all, my dorm life is pretty good. Because I was so quick to meet a group of good friends, I was so quick to adapt to the dormitory environment. I have a good rest time to have the energy to study, which is a step in my education. So from now on, I want to work harder, cant do the best, try to do better!

When students go to college, they are so excited about the new life. In the campus, they can enjoy freedom without parents’ supervision. What’s more, they will have roommates. If they are lucky, they will become longtime friends, if not, troubles will come all the time. To reduce trouble, the new rules to assign dormitory has been carried out.

In tradition, the students get their roommates at random, so it takes them some time to get familiar with each other. Most students realize their roommates living different lifestyles, so contradiction happens. In order to let students focus more attention on study, some schools assign the dormitory according to the students’ daily schedule, which is favored by the public. They said if this rule had carried before, then much trouble would have been avoided.

Indeed, some students trend to sleep early and then wake up early, while other students like to stay up. The latter will be addicted to playing computer games, then the sound of typing and the computer light annoy the former. Now this problem can be solved, which is good for both sides.

We are happy to see the change, if the new rules can bring positive sides, then they deserved to be advocated.

討論學生住宿問題的英語作文 11

There are two dormitories for our class’s boys. I live in 2110.

We seven boys share the dormitory 2110. Every morning we get up at 6 o’clock. Sometimes one or two boys may wake up a little later. After washing, we go to the playground to do morning exercise.

At night, after the self-teaching classes, we go back to the dormitory. Some roommates enjoy singing loudly before the lights go out, some enjoy sharing their snacks and drinks with others, some go to bed early, and others read books or listen to the pop music late. We often tell jokes in the dormitory. The room is always full of cheers and laughter.

On the evening of , the Chinese national football team got their place in the World Cup. It’s the first time for our Chinese team. The Chinese people have dreamed of it for 44 years. Though the light was out we jumped up and down and shouted: “We are the winner! We are the winner!” At the very moment, “Bang! Bang! Bang!” We heard the noises of knocking at the door and a teacher shouted:“ Don’t be so excited. Go to sleep now.” So we dared not make any noise. We even smiled in our dreams that night.

There are many advantages to having a pet. For example, taking care of a pet can teach people responsibility, which is new to many university students. In addition, pets can keep people company and are well-known for making people happy.

While there are many reasons for having a pet, keeping one illegally in the dorms can be problematic. First of all, some students may be allergic to pets. Secondly, some dorm mates may not care for the way the pet smells. Thirdly, many pets are loud and may disturb the other residents in your dorm or hall.

For many universities, students keeping pets in the dormitories is against the rules. Despite this, some students choose to have a pet at university. However, I dont believe that its a good idea to keep a pet in the dormitories.

compared with the forty year old shabby dormitory i am living in now, the one i lived in for three years in high school was heaven: three students shared one brand new suite with air conditioners and a bathroom.

in three years time we changed it thoroughly:the color of the floor turned from bright pink into muddy gray, and the closet a hive of insects proliferating among piles of rotten our masterpiece was the bathroom, a never drying swamp which served as the habitat of various kinds of mold, and even rodents, rats would occasionally take the trouble to pay us a visit, and.., all three of us felt like sobbing when we at last had to say good bye to our lovely filthy dormitory. maybe it is because that the dormitory had changed us as well as wed changed it.

the first lesson our dormitory taught us was to look after ourselves. frankly speaking, we were not good students at all. i still remember the underwear that was soaked in soapy water for one and a half years before it was finally thrown away. almost each of the boys dormitories had gradually developed its own unique "fragrance" usually a miture of rotten fruit, unwashed socks, stunk towels and some junk food. we could tell one dormitory from another by sniffing instead of looking. our tolerance towards untidiness was amazing.

however, in spite of all this, we really did make some progress. bit by bit, we started to wash dirty clothes before they stunk, cleaned the garbage bin when it could hold no more trash, we even used brushes in a not-sc-successful attempt to refurbish the floor. the point was that we were not obeying any order, we did every bit of the cleaning for ourselves, because we wanted to live in a better place. though nothing we did could be called an achievement, it was the first time we fully bore the consequences of our behavior, and took the responsibility.

thus it was not surprising that i often found myself the only one to clean up my university dormitory which looked no better than a garbage bin when my roommates felt normal of it.

when talking about our dormitory life, and probably all the dormitory life, we should never leave out one thing. this was what we called "bed talks". though it was considered "illegal,"there was nothing to stop us from deliberately starting a heated discussion right after lights were out. it was our favorite and the only way of ending our day, and we were as punctual for it as our parents are for work. what was the most common topic?girls, of course! what other topics were there for three energetic adolescent males lying comfortably in bed? we judged them, ranked them, argued over them night after night without feeling the slightest sense of boredom for three whole years. were we maniacs? who is not a maniac at eighteen?

of course, there were other things we talked about. i still remember one night si of us squeezed ourselves in the most uncomfortable posture onto three beds and held a "conference" discussing whether we should carry out an "impeachment" with our monitor the following day. it was not that he was troubled in any sort of scandal, but that we were just so disappointed at his work. by one oclock in the morning, we finally came to a conclusion that included two major points. first, we could not reach an agreement on what our monitors problems really were, because everyone had his own opinion. second, we could think of nobody suitable to substitute him. from the net day on the si idealistic etremists turned into pragmatic realists. we signed a peace treaty with life, and as to our monitor, he turned out to be the best one in school.

i assume that this is how those "bed talks" changed us. ask any psychiatrist and youll know (because this is eactly what they do to their patients) that to lie comfortably in bed is the only way to make someone open his mind. therefore during bed talks we were able to touch the most intrinsic part of each other, and scrutinize the details of a totally different mind. i was amazed at realizing the great difference among people in terms of their ways of thinking, and the diversity of personalities. this changed our attitudes toward others, and made us more under standing than ever.

if you ask me, among all the bed talks, which one gave me the deepest impression, i would say it was that night when i insisted that louis was the prettiest girl in our class and jerry said he would rather die than agree with me. now after three years jerry is dating louis and i am still single. what a quack!

frankly, i could hardly think of anything particularly special about dormitory life. there was never such a thing that had a dramatic impact on me. all that occurred to me were bits of trivial memories, such as the tears of lance after he was refused by a girl, the grotesque epressions on jamess face when he finally got his pills for stomach ache after staying for half an hour with the school doctor who was notorious for his loquacity, and the night when jerry dragging a broken leg hopped all the way back with an arm around my neck... these may mean nothing to outsiders, but to my roommates and me they are priceless. it was eactly through these trivial things that we grew and matured. by the time we had to say good bye to our dormitory, we all knew that we were no longer the kids of there three years before. we all knew that this precious period of time would never come back again since we were all changed by the dormitory, and because of that, we all felt like sobbing.

If we look through some news about the undergraduate on the net,we can find that a large number of students keep pets in their ents feed a great diversity of pets, such as cat、dog、hamster、snake and so ng this hot topic on the internet, people hold different ideas.

Some people disagree this fact of keeping pets in dormitory, they think the dormitory is public space, students should build a good dormitory environment, the presence of the pet can increase of security risk. In the meantime the reason people object to keeping pets is because many students will abandon their pet after they graduate from the university,so that many university have a large number of stray pets.

Other people think that students keep the pets in dormitory should not be think the student have the right of keep pets and many pets won’t be have negative effects on other students in dormitory.

In my opinion,if the university allows the students keep pets and the dormitory have the proper condition, the students can keep pets in the the university prohibits keeping pets or other roommates are disagree with keeping pets, the student can’t broke the in all, when we do something,we should proceed from the reality.

My dormitory room is on the second floor.

It is small and crowded. The dark green walls and the dirty white ceiling make the room seem dark, and thus even smaller than it is, As youwalk into the room, you are stopped short by my bed which fills half of the room. The two large windows over the bed are hidden by heavy dark gold drapes.

Against the wall on your left, pushed into a corner behind the head of the bed, is a large bookcase which is crammed with papers, books, and knick-knacks, Wedged in between the bookcase and the wall opposite the bed is a small grey metal desk. It has a brown wooden chair which seems to fill the left end of the fed under the desk is a wooden wastepaper basket overflowing with paper and debris. The wall above the bookcase and desk is completely taken up with two small posters. On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes, shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors. Everytime I walk out of the door, I think, Now I know what it is like to live in a closet. at it is like to live in a it is like to live in a closet.

Dormitory life is a new experience for some university students who have never lived far away from their parents before. For example, they must depend on themselves to get up in the morning on time for class and to set aside an appropriate amount of time for study and relaxation.

Some people believe there are more advantages about dormitory life. In a dormitory, on the one hand, students have more chances to communicate with and learn from each other. On the other hand, students have a great deal more freedom than they might have at home. They can act according to their own will rather than to that of parents. But some others disagree. They think dormitory rooms are often small and crowded. This lack of space can limit ones privacy and make it difficult for students to be engaged in their studies.

In general, there are both sunshine and shadow about life in student dormitory. Whether they like it or not, most students have to face the reality of living with others.
