我站在這位巨人的手臂上看，遠處的景物一目瞭然。在遠處的羣山上，樹木長得葱葱籠籠。原來這長城還是個放大鏡哩!

單看這數不清的條石，一塊有兩三千斤重。那是沒有火車、汽車，也沒有起重機，就靠着無數的肩膀無數的手，一步一步抬上這陡峭的山嶺。

在此，我想説，我們的先民在極其貧乏的物質條件下，以最原始、最簡單的工具才完成了這前不見頭，後不見尾的萬里長城!

這樣氣魄雄偉的工程，在世界歷史上是一個偉大的奇蹟!
