would的用法説明

would(Britain)：[wud] would(US)：[wud]，在陳述語氣中，表示過去將來時，表示有意識的行動或意志，常用於間接引語中)將;要;偏要;願。

　　【一、基本用法】

1. (用於構成過去將來時)將，會：

You said you would be free that night. 你説那晚上你有空。

2. (表示願意)想要，願意：

She would do anything for her parents. 她願意為她父母做任何事。

3. (表示推測)大概，或許，會：

You wouldn’t recognize the place now—it’s changed so much. 你現在可能認不出這地方了，它的.變化太大了。

4. (表示請求或提議)請，…好嗎：

Would you please translate this letter for me? 你給我翻譯這封信行嗎?

5. (表示過去習慣)常常，總是：

When he was young he would often walk in these woods. 他年輕時常在這些樹林裏散步。

6. (用於虛擬條件句的主句)會：

If I were in your position，I would accept their offer. 如果我處於你的地位，我會接受他們的條件。

1. would表示習慣，只用於指過去;若表示現在的習慣，則用will。(參見will)

2. 表示推測、請求、提出看法或詢問情況時，屬表示委婉語氣的用法，從時間上看它並不一定指過去：

London wouldn’t suit her. 倫敦對她不會合適。

You’d like some tea, wouldn’t you? 喝點茶好嗎?

Would Sunday night suit you? 星期天晚上適合你嗎?有時可視為一種省略的虛擬語氣，如Father wouldn’t allow it可視為是下面一句的省略：

Father wouldn’t allow it if you asked him. 你要是問父親，他是不會允許的。
