表示不介意的正確回答應是"No"或"Of course not"或"Go ahead"。婉轉的拒絕可説:"Well, actually, I'd prefer you didn't/not to."如回答"Yes"則表示"是的,我介意。"中國學生應該注意,以免引起誤會。

這裏的do代表動詞原形。

* a number of 若干,許多[通常只修飾可數名詞]
e.g. Owing to the depression, a number of workers have been fired in the past two months.

e.g. Some consumers prefer imported cars (to those hat are home-made)

rather 後必須接動詞原形。
e.g. The delivery is late again. I'd rather not do business with them.

* would rather…than… 寧肯……也不……
