my fathe r used to talk to me about his five siblings . he used to say that i was u nfor tunate that i had none . and i u sed to envy him and wonder how nice it would be to have a houseful of brothers and sisters . i also used to wonder what would happen to me if i we re to lose my pa rents .

frankly speaking , i do not have to shar e anything with anybody . i own all my par ents’love . i can as k for anything i want . i always wea r new clothes and eat the best food . since my par ents spend all their money on me, i can study at the best university of the count ry .

lucky as i am, i now and then feel very lonely and i have nobody to complain about my loneliness . how i long for a quarrel with my brothers and siste rs ! of course i have classmates and f riends , but they a re differ ent . sometimes i feel so pes simistic that aft er my parents leave the world , i will have no blood relatives left to shar e with me the fond memories of my pa rents . furthermor e, i am likely to become selfish while i realize the world is for s haring .

so , i am happy but lonely; i am for tunate but pit eou s; i am loved but spoiled; i am well-br ed but selfish , because i am the only child of the family .

With mobile phones widely used in our daily lives, various Apps emerge. Reading has therefore become more convenient. However, different people hold different views toward online reading.

Though more convenient reading becomes, I like paper reading more than online reading. The reasons are as follows. Firstly, I cherish the moment keeping company with the book. When I bury my head into the book, the special fragrance of the book slips through my fingers, into my nose, then into my brain. How marvelous the feeling is! Secondly, I can take various notes on the book as long as I want to, which is not that easy to do when reading online. When I have finished reading the book, what I harvest will be not only the knowledge and idea the book conveys, but also my systematic thinking about the book, which can be vividly embodied by my notes on the book. Thirdly, paper reading won’t be distracted easily by irrelevant information which often emerges in online reading.

Based on the above three points, I prefer paper reading to online reading.

雖然線上閱讀變得更加方便，但是我更喜歡紙質閱讀。原因如下。第一，我珍愛與書為伴的時刻。當我埋頭讀書時，書本的特殊香味會溜過我的手指，溜進鼻子，然後溜進大腦。這種感覺很美妙啊!第二，只要我想做筆記，我就可以在書上做各式筆記，而線上閱讀時不那麼容易做到這一點。當我閱讀完這本書的時候，我收穫的不僅是書本所傳遞的知識和想法，還有我關於這本書的系統思考，這會通過我在書本上的筆記體現。第三，紙質閱讀不會輕易被無關資訊所打擾，而線上閱讀卻常常冒出不相干資訊。

基於以上三點，比起線上閱讀，我更喜歡紙質閱讀。
