　　【沉默】

Indeed, for a living being there is no such thing as true silence, for silence itself is a revelation of the mind and the heart, an echo of the soul of a different form.

Some people use silence as a disguise of the emptiness of the head.

Some use it as a means to depict their disorientation and melancholy.

And some use it as a way of expressing their angers and sorrows.

Silence usually is ephemeral. It reminds one of the bronze bells dangling from a pagoda''s eaves; on windless days they are a decoration upon the age-weathered beauty, but with wind they give out wonderful tinkling and jingling metallurgic sounds, as if echoing age-old stories of long, long ago...

Do you not think the same of silent people?

they say that "silence is golden", but of what nature is this "gold"? It can include integrity, honesty and kindness; it can stand for indifference to and detachment from fame and fortune; but it can also act as an excuse for hypocrisy, slyness and cowardice... the glittering of gold may not necessarily be the most brilliant lustre in the world.

Can it be that permanent silence is only represented by death?

Perhaps even death cannot represent true silence, for the carrier of the soul can turn into dust, so that the sincere and wise voices from the bottom of the heart will trigger long-lasting echoes in the seas of human hearts...

其實，對活著的生命而言，真正的沉默是不存在的。沉默本身也是一種思想和心境的流露，是靈魂的另一種形式的回聲。

有的人以沉默掩飾思想的'空虛。

有的人以沉默敘述迷茫和惆悵。

有的人以沉默表達內心的憤怒和憂傷。

……

沉默常常是暫時的。就像古塔簷角下的銅鈴，無風時，它們只是一種古色古香的裝飾，一起風，它們便會發出奇妙的金屬音響，似乎是許多古老故事的悠遠的回聲……

沉默的人們不也一樣?

“沉默是金”，是怎樣的一種“金”呢? 這個“金”字中，可以包含正直、善良，可以代表淡泊、超脫，也可以是虛偽、圓滑、怯懦的一種託辭……金子的光澤，未必是世界上最動人的光澤。

是不是隻有死亡才是永遠的沉默?

也許，死亡也未必是真正的沉默，靈魂的載體可以化為塵土，那些真誠睿智的心聲，卻會長久地在人心的海洋中引起悠長的回聲……

　　【守護天使 Your Guardian Angle】

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

從前，有個孩子馬上就要降生了。於是有一天他問上帝：“聽說明天您就送我去人間了，但是，我這麼弱小和無助，我在那兒怎麼生活呢?”

God replied, "Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

上帝答道：“在眾多的天使中，我特別為你挑了一位。她會在那裡守候你，無微不至地照顧你。”

But the child wasn't sure he really wanted to go. "But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy."

小孩還是不確定自己是否真的想去：“但是在天堂，我除了唱唱笑笑外，什麼也不做，這就足以讓我感到幸福了。”

"Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy."

“你的天使每天會為你唱歌，每天對你微笑。你會感受到她的愛，並且因此而幸福。”

"And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me," the child continued, "If I don't know the language that men talk?"

“如果我不懂人類的語言，他們跟我說話時，我怎麼聽得懂呢?”孩子繼續問道。

God patted him on the head and said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

上帝輕輕地拍了一下孩子的頭說：“你的天使會對你說最最美麗、最最動聽的話語，而這些都是你從未聽過的。她會不厭其煩地教你說話。”

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

“如果我想與你說話怎麼辦?”

But God had an answer for that question too. "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

上帝胸有成竹地回答：“你的天使會將你的雙手合攏，教你如何祈禱。”

"I've heard that on earth there are bad men, who will protect me?"

“聽說下界有很多壞人，誰來保護我呢?”

"Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her life!"

“即使冒著生命危險，你的天使也會保護你的。”

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore," the child continued warily.

“但是見不到你，我會難過的。”小孩小心翼翼說道。

God smiled on the young one. "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."

聽到這兒，上帝微笑著看著孩子。“儘管我會一直陪伴你左右，你的的天使仍會向你提起我，教你重返天堂之路。”

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard. The child knew he had to start on his journey very soon. He asked God one more question, softly, "Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

此時，天堂一片寧靜，凡間的聲音已可聽到，小孩明白自己得趕緊上路了。他又輕聲問了最後一個問題：“哦，上帝，假如我現在就出發，請你告訴我，我的天使叫什麼名字?”

God touched the child on the shoulder and answered, "Your angel's name is not hard to remember. You will simply call her Mommy."

上帝把手放在小孩的肩上，答道：“你的天使的名字很容易記住，你就叫她--媽媽。”

PS:媽媽是上帝為我們每個人精心挑選的天使，我們的生命因為有媽媽而安全、幸福。當我們長大成人時，天使媽媽變成了需要我們照顧的人。愛媽媽吧，她是我們的保護神。給女朋友買玫瑰時，記得給媽媽買一支康乃馨;給戀人打電話時，記得給媽媽報平安;生活幸福甜蜜時，也記得和媽媽分享。
