1985年，《紅樓夢》劇組選演員時，20歲的陳曉旭拿着一張背面抄着她14歲時寫的一首小詩《我是一朵柳絮》的照片打動了導演王扶林，出演女一號林黛玉，從此一炮走紅。謹譯此詩，以寄哀思。

我是一朵柳絮，

長大在美麗的春天裏；

因為父母過早地將我遺棄，

我便和春風結成了知己。

我是一朵柳絮，

不要問我的家在哪裏，

願春風把我吹送到天涯海角，

我要給大地的.角落帶去春的消息。

我是一朵柳絮，

生來無憂又無慮；

我的爸爸是廣闊的天空，

我的媽媽是無垠的大地。

Growing up in the beautiful spring。

Cast off prematurely by my parents，

I make friends with spring wind。

Let spring wind send me to the corner of the world，

I bring the spring to all river and mountain。

I am carefree by nature。

The vast heaven is my father，

The boundless earth is my mother。

Cast off： 拋棄，甩開。
