篇1:職場戀歌

和老外聊天地道口語的英語文字版

N: I don't know. My life is a big mess. Everything is so compliceted.

C: come on, nothin can be that bad.

N: but promise me, you'll keep it a secret.

C: ok, I promise. So what's troubling you so much?

N: I've fallen in love with my boss.

C: really? Is he married?

N: no, of course not. He is still single.

C: then what's your problem?

N: I try to keep it to myself. But there is a lot of gossip about us.

C: oh, I see. Office romance tends to be the subject of gossip.

N: worse still, he is trying to avoid me these days.

C: office romance is very tricky.

N: it gives me a lot of pressure and I feel depressed.

C: cheer up, Nada. You'll be fine.

篇2:Neighbor Relations 左鄰右舍

Barbara:oh, hi Lucas, come on in. I'm Barbara. Nice to meet you.

L:nice to meet you too.

B: would you like something to drink? I've got tea and some grape juice.

L: thanks. Some tea would be nice. Chinese tea is great. I really like your tea set. Where did you get it?

B: oh, there is a supermarket not far from here. But there is also a tea house around the corner, where you can get tea and a tea set as well.

L: oh yeah, I saw the tea house the other day. I think I might go and have a look sometime. It's a nice neighborhood here.

B: you are right about that. It's quiet and very convenient. You can get to the bus and the subway stations within ten minutes'walk. There's a grocery store, a book store, a gym, and many restaurants along the street.

L: there's a gym nearby? That's exciting! I really want to start to go to gym as soon as possible. I've been lazy this summer holiday and have put on some weight.

B: well, if you want we can go together sometime. Actually I was thinking of going this afternoon, if you like, you can join me and I can show you the beighborhood along the way.

L: that would be wonderful. Thanks!

篇3:你再不出手她就要被別人

Roy: you said it. Good beer, good music, and on top pf that, there are so many hot girls here!

S: I'm with you on that. Check out that one over there. I think I;m in love!

R: well, she's alright, but not really my cup of tea. What about the blond with the red dress?

S: oh, that's Janice. She's just new in town. You have a thing for blonds, eh?

R: yeah! She could do anything she wants with me!

S: I bet. Why not go over and talk to her? She's really nice.

R: I don't think so. I get so nervous talking to girls. I always put my foot in my mouth, scare her off, and end up looking like a real fool. Besides, she is way out of my league.

S: come on! Man up! You'll never know until you try.

R: okay okay, just let me have another cup of beers to get my head in the game.

S: all right. But I think you ought to move soon.

R: why?

S: I can see five other guys eying her up.

R: okay, here I go!

S: good luck!

篇4:他一定是誤會了...

Bob: more or less. There;s just one thing bothering me.

E: oh? What's that?

B: well, you know I have some students studying for their master's degree. One of them tried to give me a gift that kinda made me uneasy.

E: what gift?

B: it's an Egyptian carpet. The student came to my office the other day and brought the carpet to show his gratitude. Seeing what gift was, I was really uncomfortable. I mean it's too expensive a gift for a student to give a professor. I don't think I've done anything to deserve that gift, so I refused it.

E: you refused the gift? That's terrible.

B: I know, but I really can't accept such an expensive gift. I explained to him why, but he seemed really upset about it. I think he might have taken it the wrong way.

E: perhaps. He probably thinks you considered the gift a bribe for a higher grade.

B: that's what I am worried about. I do understand the respect attached with the gift and I am honored. But I really don't think it's proper for a student to spend a fortune in a gift for a professor. I think we need to have a talk to make sure we are on the same page.

篇5:照片拍得怎麼樣?

L: that would be a good shot. Can you take my picture here, dear? Please try to get the garden in the frame as well.

J: all right. Would you please stand closer to the flower bed? Good. Smile. Say "cheese". OK, got you. That's terrific.

L: thanks. Could you take one more from this angle?

J: no problem.

L: now let's have one together.

J: do you know how to set the timer?

L: let me see…set the timer first and push the button,oh, come here.

J: OK, let's have a try.

L: cheese...

J: did it come out?

L: yes, but it's blurred and a little dark.

J: never mind. Let's go to the falls and try again.

L: Ok,let's go.

篇6:我該送她什麼禮物呢?

Nick: is that the girl you spent almost every weekend with?

S: yeah, that's her. We had a lot of wonderful times together. She is really a special friend, and I want to get her something meaningful.

N: I am not good at picking gifts. Maybe you can ask if there's anything she needs to make it easier?

S: I don't think so. That way it would lose all the charm. I want it to be a surprise. I want to show her that I care about her and I hope our friendship will last.

N: yeah, that's nice.

S: hmm, I think I've got an idea. Maybe I can get her an ever-green plant to take back home.

N: a plant? That's creative. I'm sure ever time she waters it she'll think of you. But there is a problem. Do you think it'll be able to go through the customs?

S: I hope so. I'll make sure to get a small one so she can put it into her suitcase. I hope it won't cause her trouble at the border.

N: I don't know. I think the idea of a plant going across borders with a friend is really exciting but maybe seeds would be safer. You don't want to get her in trouble
