考研英語翻譯常犯的錯誤有哪些

　　考研英語翻譯常犯的錯誤

1.誤譯漏譯

When you listen to people speak a foreign language that you understand，have you noticed that the native speakers of that language use words and phrases in a manner different from what you are used to?

【原譯】當你聽到人們説你理解的外語時，是否注意到該語言的母語在使用這些詞語時的習慣方式與你過去的習慣不同的嗎?

【評析】這段譯文至少有兩處和原文不符：一是the native speaker of that language所表達的意思是"以那種語言為母語的説話者"，而不是"該語言的母語"。 二是what you are used to所表達的意思是"你已經習慣的方式"，而不是"你過去的習慣。"

【改譯】你聽別人講你能聽懂的外語時，你是否注意到以這種外語為母語的人，他們使用詞語的方式和你習慣使用詞語的方式是不同的。

2.硬譯死譯

所謂硬譯死譯，指的是譯者沒有真正理解原文的意思，對原文進行字對字地翻譯，表面上看起來譯文和原文完全保持一致，但譯文並沒有準確表達出原文所含內容。翻譯時如果譯者沒有考慮到上下文，沒有考慮到語境，沒有考慮到漢語的習慣表達。就很可能出現硬譯死譯，譯文就不會忠實於原文，就不會通順流暢，就不會地道自然。

Studies show that most doctors sincerely believe that the seriously ill do not want to know the truth about their condition, and that informing them risks destroying their hope, so that they may recover more slowly, or deteriorate faster, perhaps even commit suicide.

【原譯】研究結果表明，大多數醫生深信身患重病的人不想知道他們的真實病情，如果將真情相告，他們的希望就可能破滅，他們恢復得更慢或惡化得更快，甚至會自尋短見。

【評析】把they may recover more slowly, or deteriorate faster譯成"他們恢復得更慢或惡化得更快"字面上好像是忠實於原文的，但卻是不地道的，不符合邏輯的。"他們"和"恢復"還是可以搭配在一起，但"他們"和"惡化"就不能搭配在一起了。可以説"病情惡化"，但不能説"病人惡化"，應改成"病情惡化"。

【改譯】研究結果表明，大多數醫生深信身患重病的人不想知道他們的真實病情。如果將真情告知，病人可能就會失去希望，身體恢復就會更加緩慢，或者病情會進一步迅速惡化，甚至會自尋短見。

3.搭配不當

Jefferson died long ago, but many of his ideas are still of great interest to us.

【原譯】傑斐遜已謝世很久，但他的許多思想仍使我們感到很大的興趣。

【評析】"感到"和"興趣"不能搭配在一起，"感到"後一般可跟形容詞﹑動詞或分句等作賓語，而"興趣"是個名詞。"感到"可改為"感"。

【改譯】雖然傑斐遜謝世很久，但我們對他的思想仍然很感興趣。

4.用詞不當

In language there are some tacit rules of speaking that，unlike rules of grammar or spelling，are not usually studied in a formal manner.

【原譯】語言中，有些講法存在着默認的'規律，與語法和拼寫規律不同，在正規場合不一定學到。

【評析】rules還是譯為"規則"較好。"講法"表達的意思不夠準確，可改譯為"説話"。把in a formal manner譯為"正式場合"，表達的意思也是不準確的，可改為"正規的學習方法"。

【改譯】與語法規則和拼寫規則不同的是，語言中説話的某些規則是默認的，按照正規的學習方法通常是學不到的。

5.結構不合理

There will come a day when people the world over will live a happy life under the sun of socialism.

【原譯】全世界人民在社會主義陽光下過幸福生活的一天是會到來的。

【評析】原譯文主語的定語較長，使得整個句子頭重腳輕。按照漢語的表達習慣，這個句子可用兩個句子表達。

【改譯】全世界人將在社會主義的陽光下過幸福的生活，這一天是一定會來到的。
