簡單介紹狀語定語從句

1．目的狀語從句：

引導目的狀語從句的連詞或詞組一般有:so that以便，in order that以便，in case免得;以防，for fear(that)惟恐;以免，lest & for fear that惟恐;以免;為不使；now that & given that因為：

Ask her to hurry up with these letters so thatI can sign them．

讓她把這幾封信趕快打好我好籤字。

They have died thatliberty might live．

他們死了使自由得以保存。

I posted the letter today in order thatyou’d get it tomorrow．

我今天把信發出，以便你明天能收到。

I wrote down the date of his birthday lestI should forget it．

我把他生日寫下來以防忘掉。

Shut the windows for fear(that)it may rain．

把窗子關上以防下雨。

He took the gun in casehe met any wild animals．

他帶上槍以防遇到野獸。

She said she wanted tea ready at six soshe could be out by eight．

她説她要在六點時讓下午茶準備好，以便她八點能出去。

2．結果狀語從句:

表示結果的狀語從句可由that，so that，such that等詞引起，放在主句之後:

It’s 30 hot here thatit makes me thirsty．

這裏這麼熱，使我都感到口渴了。

Daddy has a stick sohe won’t slip．

爸爸有根枴棍因此不會滑倒。

The park just opened，soit won’t be very crowed yet．

公園剛開門，因此還不會太擁擠。

She was so exhausted thatshe slept at once．

她是那樣疲憊，她馬上就睡着了。

The connection’s so bad(that)I can hardly hear you.

線接得那麼糟，我幾乎聽不清你的聲音。

He told such funny stories thatwe all laughed．

他講了這個滑稽的`故事，我們大家全笑了。

1）though， although引導的讓步狀語從句，後面的從句不能有but，但是 though 和yet可連用。例如：

Although its raining， they are still working in the field. 雖然在下雨，但他們仍在地裏幹活。

He is very old， but he still works very hard. 雖然他很老了，但仍然努力地工作。

Though the sore be healed， yet a scar may remain. 傷口雖癒合，但傷疤留下了。（諺語）

2） as， though 引導的讓步從句必須表語或狀語提前（形容詞、副詞、分詞、實義動詞提前）。例如：

Child as /though he was， he knew what was the right thing to do. 雖然是個小孩，該做什麼不做什麼，他全知道。

3） ever if， even though 即使。例如：

Well make a trip even though the weather is bad. 即使天氣不好，我們也要去遠足。

4） whetheror 不管都。例如：

Whether you believe it or not， it is true. 信不信由你，這確實是真的。

5） no matter +疑問詞 或疑問詞+後綴ever .例如：

No matter what happened， he would not mind. =Whatever happened， he would not mind. 不管發生什麼，他不在意。

替換：no matter what = whatever

no matter who = whoever
