Huamei is the garden as well as a school we live and study in. It has more green trees than the classrooms. When you come into our school, you can see two tall buildings. In the buildings there are two computer rooms,an art room,a music room a library and many classrooms. I like to go to the library, because I like reading books. My teachers often tell us:“Reading is good for you.”Near the buildings there is a big playground. We can play football, basketball and games on it.

My school is far away from the city, the air here is fresh and bright, we have some special activates except the normal classes. Every Monday and Wednesday’s afternoon, we join our favorite clubs ,there are Sports Club, Music Club, Art Club, Writing Club and so on. It is important for us to join some clubs, because we can have fun and learn something new about other things.

The students come from different country. We study and play together. We get up early to do exercise in the morning ,when you come to our school very early, you can see many lovely children are doing the morning exercise, they run after each other, they jump to the trees, sit on the 3 elephants, play with their dear teachers, it is very peaceful.

The teachers here are kind and nice. They are not only our teachers but also our friends. My school is wonderful, I want to grow up at my school.

Let's talk about our school's cleanliness. I think we still have a lot to do with it. First, we should clean the whole school at least txice a day. Second, I know many students like eating lunch in the playground so that they can have more time to play basketball or play football. I think it is really a bad habit. We should protect our school's cleanliness, not destory! In some ways, our shcool is not very clean. But it is much better now than before. I hope our school will be much cleaner. That's all. Thank you!

學英語作文 篇4

leisure--an anachronism?

the other day i asked my nine year old younger brother what he liked to do for fun in his leisure time. he seemed to regard it as an odd question. "i don't actually have much leisure time." he said."homework, tennis lessons and piano lessons.., eat it all up. i have three piano lessons a week now."

i was startled. i used to consider it was only gown ups who were suffering from great pressure. now the modern competitive world seems to have worked on children alike. i do not think kids have as much fun as they used to. competition keeps getting in the way. leisure seems to have become a luury.

according to a recent survey, more than 80 percent of americans complain that they do not have the time to do what they really want to do, let alone enjoy the leisure time. it is a tragedy. we live in a constraint state, unable to pursue our so-called past pace of information society has made most people feel uncomfortable. computer, microwave, gimmicks and gadgets, all these appliances require far more complicated knowledge and techniques than ever before. and just to feel more secure about their relationship with technology, people make great efforts to follow the heels of the latest inventions, weary, reluctant and unhappy.

i know lots of people who avoid recreation because they lack the time or the evement is the national god, worshipped in our mediathe million dollar athlete, the wealthy ecutiveand glorified in our praise of possessions. in the presence of such a influential state religion, how can people ever "waste" their valuable time on taking up such "etravagance" as leisure when they could have learned or earned more during that period?

ambition, drive and the desire to ecel are all great within limits, but we should not allow them to be the whole story of our times we should forget about doing best all the time, focusing on relaation, enjoyment, and the purpose of not collapsing under enormous pressure, an occasional break from our daily routine is necessary. we can make stress work for us instead of against us.

學英語作文 篇5

My dormitory room is on the second floor.

It is small and crowded. The dark green walls and the dirty white ceiling make the room seem dark, and thus even smaller than it is, As youwalk into the room, you are stopped short by my bed which fills half of the room. The two large windows over the bed are hidden by heavy dark gold drapes.

Against the wall on your left, pushed into a corner behind the head of the bed, is a large bookcase which is crammed with papers, books, and knick-knacks, Wedged in between the bookcase and the wall opposite the bed is a small grey metal desk. It has a brown wooden chair which seems to fill the left end of the fed under the desk is a wooden wastepaper basket overflowing with paper and debris. The wall above the bookcase and desk is completely taken up with two small posters. On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes, shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors. Everytime I walk out of the door, I think, Now I know what it is like to live in a closet. at it is like to live in a it is like to live in a closet.

One day, when I was six years old, my aunt cane to see us form Shanghai. My parents and brother happened to be out was late in the afternoon. The room was a little dark. My aunt felt tired. I asked her to sit down and have a rest. "When are your daddy and mummy, my dear?" asked Aunt. " They have gone shopping and will be back in an hour. I‘ll fetch a cup of tea for you, aunty." When I went into the kitchen, a good idea came into my mind: After a ling journey my aunt must be very hungry. I‘ll give her a cup of milk instead of a cup of tea. When I opened the cupboard. I saw a bottle of ‘milk‘ powder in it. I poured a cup of the ‘milk‘ and gave it to my aunt. " Thank you very much. It‘s very kind of you," she said. " Please taste the milk. Has it enough sugar?" My aunt took a sip of the ‘milk‘ and spilt it out at once. " What is it, Ranran?" she asked in surprise. " It‘s milk," I said loudly and proudly. " But it doesn‘t taste like milk. Where did you get it?" I took Aunt into the kitchen and showed the bottle to her. Oh, it turned out to be a bottle of washing powder! In the evening my parents came back.
