在複合句子中起名詞作用的句子叫名詞性從句 (Noun Clauses)。名詞性從句又可分別稱為主語從句、賓語從句、表語從句和同位語從句。以下是小編整理的名詞從句學習資料，希望大家認真閲讀!

例一 句子：

David doesn't study. (戴維不念書。)

→　名詞從句：

that David doesn't study(戴維不念書)

例二 句子：

Honesty is the best policy. (誠實為上策。)

→　名詞從句：

that honesty is the best policy (誠實為上策)

以上名詞從句之前均冠以連詞 that，之後的句號均刪除，此時此名詞從句就視作一個單數名詞。換言之，名詞從句就是由句子變成的名詞，跟名詞一樣，在句中可作為主語、賓語，或置 be 動詞之後做補足語。

That David doesn't study makes his father angry. (戴維不讀書令他父親生氣。)

現在繼續介紹第二種名詞從句：即一般問句變成的名詞從句。

一般問句即指可用Yes / No 回答的'問句，一共有三種：

a. be 動詞起首的一般問句：

Is he a good student?(他是好學生嗎?)

Are they coming tonight? (今晚他們會來嗎?)

→ 名詞從句：從句句首冠以連詞 whether(是否)，be 動詞置回主語之後，即：

whether he is a good student(他是否是好學生)

whether they are coming tonight(今晚他們是否會來)

b. do、does、did 助動詞起首的一般問句：

Did you return the money to Peter?(你把錢還給彼得了嗎?)

Does that girl study in our school?(那個女孩子在我們學校唸書嗎?)

Do you have any free time this afternoon? (今天下午你有空嗎?)

→ 名詞從句：從句句首冠以連詞 whether(是否)，刪除助動詞 Did、Does、Do，之後的原形動詞 按助動詞時態、人稱還原成應有的時態，即：

whether you returned the money to Peter(你是否把錢還給彼得了)

whether that girl studies in our school(那個女孩子是否在我們學校唸書)

whether you have any free time this afternoon(今天下午你是否有空)

c. 一般動詞(如 can、may、will、should、could、would、shall 及完成時助動詞的 have、has、had) 起首的一般問句：

Can you do it? (這件事你做得來嗎?)

Have they arrived yet? (他們已經到了嗎?)

Will he join us in hiking tomorrow? (他明天會跟我們一道去遠足嗎?)

→ 名詞從句：從句句首冠以連詞 whether(是否)，助動詞置回主語之後，即：

whether you can do it(這件事你是否做得來)

whether they have arrived yet(他們是否已經到了)

whether he will join us in hiking tomorrow(他明天是否會跟我們一道去遠足)

以上名詞從句如同之前所講述過的 that 從句一樣，就作一個單數名詞，這種名詞從句就是由一般問句變成的名詞，跟名詞一樣，在句中可作主語、賓語，或置 be 動詞之後作補足語。
