Recently, children spend more time onTV, but less time on active and creative things. What does this change contributesto? What measures will be helpful to solving this problem?

TV has been an indispensable part of our life sinceit was invented. Accordingly, addiction seems to be the by-productthat is producing unpredictableproblems for the whole society. This isespecially true with children.

Obviously, too much time spent on TV hasa negative effect on children’sgrowth, including physical and mental health. In fact, couch potatoes were used to illustrate those who stayed a long time in front of the TVand, thus, completely ruined theirhealth. Studies show that lots of children suffer from obesity due to their unwillingness to move away fromthe TV and do physical exercises outdoors.

Besides, children’s overexposure to the crime films and programs can result in their tendency to take theviolence for granted and even commit crimes in the future. Meanwhile,as passive audience, children only receive the information, but seldom respondto it or take initiatives.
