Chinese civil servants will face new restrictions whenchanging jobs as authorities move to prevent themfrom using official posts to make personal profits.

Those in leadership positions or at the county leveland above will not be allowed to work in businessesor for-profit organizations related to their previousadministration for three years after resignation, orundertake related profitable activities, an officialdocument said.

一份官方文件稱，原系領導班子成員的公務員或擔任縣處級以上職務的公務員，辭去公職後3年內，不得接受與原任職務管轄業務有關的企業或營利性組織的聘任，不得從事與原任職務管轄業務直接相關的營利性活動。

Lower-level civil servants should also abide by the rules, but with a limit of just two years.

縣處級以下公務員也需遵守該規定，但時限僅為兩年。

Departing officials should submit their future professional plans and will have to report jobchanges during the restricted period.

The measures were jointly announced by the Organization Department of the CentralCommittee of the Communist Party of China and three government agencies.
