被動語態的特殊結構形式

(1)帶情態動詞的被動結構。其形式為:情態動詞+be+過去分詞。

例The baby should be taken good care of by the baby-sitter.

(2)有些動詞可以有兩個賓語,在用於被動結構時,可以把主動結構中的一個賓語變為主語,另一賓語仍然保留在謂語後面。通常變為主語的是間接賓語。

例His mother gave him a present for his birthday. 可改為 He was given a present by his mother for his birthday.

(3)當“動詞+賓語+賓語補足語”結構變為被動語態時,將賓語變為被動結構中的主語,其餘不動。

例Someone caught the boy smoking a cigarette. 可改為The boy was caught smoking a cigarette.

(4)在使役動詞have, make, get以及感官動詞see, watch, notice, hear, feel, observe等後面不定式作賓語補語時,在主動結構中不定式to要省略,但變為被動結構時,要加to。

例Someone saw a stranger walk into the building. 可改為A stranger was seen to walk into the building.

(5)有些相當於及物動詞的動詞詞組,如“動詞+介詞”,“動詞+副詞”等,也可以用於被動結構,但要把它們看作一個整體,不能分開。其中的介詞或副詞也不能省略。

例The meeting is to be put off till Friday.

1. In India there is a national festival on October 2 to honour Mahatma Gandhi, the leader who helped gain India’s independence. 在印度,十月二日是一個全國性的節日,該節日就是紀念幫助他們獲得了印度獨立的領袖甘地的。

同位語可以由名詞從句擔當。同位語從句中的that並不是從句結構中的一個成分,而是一個連接詞,只起連接作用,無具體詞義,但一般不能省略。例如:

The idea that computers can recognize human voices surprises many people. 計算機能夠識別人的聲音的想法使許多人感到驚奇。

2. The country is covered with cherry tree flowers so that it looks as though it might be covered with pink snow. 鄉村掩映在櫻桃花裏,它看起來彷彿被粉紅色的雪所覆蓋。

as though意為“似乎;好像”,在句中引導表語從句。在通常情況下,as though所引導的從句的謂語動詞多用虛擬語氣,表示所敍述的情況與事實相反。例如:

so that既可引導目的狀語從句,也可引導結果狀語從句,可以由以下幾點進行區分:

1) 當表達“為了……”、“以便……”的含義時,引導的是目的狀語從句;當表達“以至於……”、“因此”的含義時,引導的是結果狀語從句。如:

If you do know, answer in a loud enough voice so that all the class may hear. 如果你的確知道,應大聲回答,以便讓全班同學都可以聽見。

William Tyndale

William Tyndale ( 1484-1536 ) was a 16th century priest and scholar who translated the Bible into an early form of Modern English. Although numerous partial and complete English translations had been made from the 7th century onward, Tyndale’s was the first to take advantage of the new medium of print, which allowed for its wide distribution. Beside translating the Bible, he also held and published views which were considered heretical, first by the Catholic Church, and later by the Church of England which was established by Henry VIII. Because his Bible translation also include notes and commentary promoting these views. His translation was banned by the authorities, and he himself was burned at the stake in 1536, at the instigation of agents of Henry VIII and the Anglican Church .

Gandhi

Gandhi ( Oct,2 1869- Jan, 30, 1948 ) was one of the founding fathers of the modern Indian state and an influential advocate of pacifism as a means of revolution. 【教學策略】

①本節課的教學以建構主義學習理論為指導,以學生為中心,以問題為出發點,使課堂教學過程成為學生自主地進行信息加工、知識意義構建、創新能力發展的過程。教師在教學過程中則適時介入,引導、啟發、組織、幫助、促進。②設計創造性思維問題。所謂創造性思維問題即是指有利於學生創造性思維發展的問題。創造性思維問題的設計應遵循這樣幾個原則:題型具有開放性、解題富有挑戰性。

【教法】

①演示法:把製作的課件、動畫等顯示給學生看,便於學生對微觀知識的把握,並從舊知中獲得啟迪,從而解決問題。②評價閲讀法:將學生通過對材料的收集、整理和內化而形成的學習成果,在全班學生中展示,使學生獲得成功的喜悦,從而激發學生的後續學習熱情。③任務驅動教學法:將所要學習的新知識隱含在一個或幾個問題之中,學生通過對所提的任務進行分析、討論,並在老師的指導、幫助下找出解決問題的方法,最後通過任務的完成而實現對所學知識的意義建構。

五、教學過程設計:

第一步:熱身活動:猜單詞。在這個步驟中,我給出兩組前一節課學過的詞,分別讓兩組同學上來猜。所採用的方式類似於《幸運52》:單詞是出現在屏幕上的,其中一個同學背對着屏幕,他是猜者;另一個同學則是解釋者,他要用英語或輔以動作將單詞的意思表現出來。兩組同學之間展開競爭,看誰猜得又快又多。這個活動不僅可以複習上節課的內容,更重要的是活躍了課堂氣氛,令同學們很快融入課堂氛圍。

第二步:讀前活動(一):自由展示。在上這一課之前,我給學生布置的預習任務是介紹你最想去的地方。Which country or place would you like to visit most? Why?學生們自由組成小組,上網查找相關資料,然後對所蒐集的信息進行整理,最後形成自己的powerpoint展示文件。在課堂上,由本小組的發言代表上來進行展示和介紹。這一環節是這節課的重頭戲。

第三步:讀前活動(二):自由交談。給學生提出這樣一個問題:如果你有機會去加拿大,你最想看什麼?If you have a chance to visit Canada, what would you expect to see there?先要求他們在小組內討論,然後再在全班同學面前發言。

第四步:讀前活動(三):小組討論。經過了前面的大量的有關加拿大的信息的衝擊,你願意用哪三個詞語來描述加拿大?What three words would you use to describe Canada? Why? 請小組代表發言。

六、教學反思

本節課是新課標《高中英語必修3 Unit 5》,我將本節課設計為競賽、導入、個人探究、互動交流、協作探究和討論及口頭作文等九個步驟。我充分發揮自制網絡課件的優勢,使本節課的內容更加充實,容量更多。既貫通了所要學的知識,又拓展了課外知識,使得本節課學生在學習過程中興趣更加濃厚 , 積極地自主探究,討論問題熱烈,課堂氣氛活躍!現將課堂教學反思總結如下:

(一)信息技術與英語學科整合方面

1、信息技術與英語學科內容的整合。網絡是信息的海洋、包羅萬象的課本 , 把信息技術作為英語教學的認知工具和知識載體,圍繞英語學科知識進行整合實驗,不僅可以擴大英語閲讀的“面”和“量”,而且也培養了學生諸如“信息的獲取、信息的重組和加工以及信息的交流”等多種信息素養。

2、信息技術與英語學習模式的整合。網絡學習是一種學習過程交互化的學習模式。學生帶着問題藉助網絡查詢信息,進行信息交流,由此“任務驅動、自主探究、協作交流”等學習策略在這裏得到了更充分的體現。

(二)英語課堂教學方面

本節課英語教學中以問題為線索,採用“任務驅動”方法,讓學生自主探究和協作探究為主,培養學生的自主學習能力。故本人在這節課中通過安排學生的個人探索、協作學習、討論等各種形式來激發學生學習興趣,主動閲讀,有創造性的完成任務。讓學生在教師的指導下,通過感知、體驗、實踐,參與和合作等方式,實現任務的目標,感受成功:在學習過程中進行情感和策略調整,以形成積極的學習態度,促進語言實際運用能力的提高。採用師生交流方式導入自然親切,拉近了師生之間的情感距離,營造出寬鬆的學習氣氛,同時讓學生了解有關加拿大的相關內容。根據教師提出的一系列問題,學生自主搜索與加拿大相關的信息資料,然後以個人探究和協作學習相結合,並以各種的形式展示交流成果。本人這節課安排探究和討論過程中的觀點彙總等形式鼓勵學生藉助小組活動的形式來合作,來表達,來思考。能使學生在活動中互相學習、互相幫助,互相鼓勵,體驗集體榮譽感和成就感,發展合作精神。

(三)存在問題:

1、在口頭作文這個環節裏,學生們都非常積極踴躍,但由於時間關係,沒能讓任何一對同學展示他們的對話或短文。這是這堂課的一個缺陷。

2、在第二個教學步驟中,學生們的展示有少少的雷同部分。如果我在上課前仔細審核他們的作品,再適當地調配和整合他們所蒐集到的信息,那效果將會更好。
